On Lumeria we have a system to upgrade your equipment (aside from Imbuements and Exaltation Forge).
The 4 energy keys
There are 4 energy keys which upgrade your equipment, the first one (the bronze) allows you to add a RANDOM upgrade to that equipment, the other 3 (silver, golden and diamond) allow you to UPGRADE AN EXISTING SLOT.
Each equipment has a determined amount of SLOTS, this is determined by: 1 + (Level Required/100) | For example, a Falcon Greaves will have 4 SLOTS as it requires level 300 (1 + (300/100) = 4).
When you use a key for the first time on an equipment, it will be locked to your vocation forever (the bonuses, the item will still work for other vocations).
You can obtain the bronze and silver keys from Archfoe Bosses, and the golden and diamond ones sometimes in events. The bronze energy key is the most common one, the silver is a rare one and the golden a very rare one, and the diamond, no one has seen it. Each one (in order) allowing to unlock a Tier.
